If you are signed up to receive the Weekly Weeder and have not been receiving it, here is a troubleshooting page to help. If this doesn't help, please let Sharon at scgardenweb@gmail.com know. Thanks.
The Compost is Here
Turkey compost has arrived; please limit yourself to 20 buckets for a full size plot at $1/bucket. This is on the honor system. The cash box will be in the green and white greenhouse. Please keep the pile covered given the forecast.
Plant Sale is in 4 Weeks!!!
The signup from SignUpGenius will soon be out so you can pick which job you want for the plant sale on March 2.
There are lots to do before that, though!
- One of the fun things we do at the plant sale is eat. Kathleen, who for years provided us all with a great breakfast and kept the coffee flowing, has left the garden. Although it would be difficult to replace her level of organization, we need to try. So...we are looking for someone or lots of someones to organize food. This year we'll have a sign up for people who want to bring a dish or find a business who wants to donate food.
- And also a few people willing to spend their volunteer time keeping track of that food and making the coffee. So please look for the email announcing the sign up being available.
- The Annual Plant Sale is a great way to get in some of your 2019 Volunteer Hours.
- Spread the word about sale itself (please use the postcards!)
- Come to work days as we prepare.
- Get passalongs ready for the sale.
- Checkout the plant list when posted.
- Help Mary Drake with the silent auction. She will be asking Austin area businesses and organizations to donate items and services for the silent auction. If you have items, services to donate or time to help with the auction please let her know.
- Any questions about the plant sale so far? Email jartdaht@gmail.com.
