Sunshine Gardeners Give Generously

When gardeners were given the option of donating to the Central Texas Food Bank when paying their annual dues, they answered the call.

Sunshine Community Gardens was able to give $3,250 to the Central Texas Food Bank. Because the pass-through donation from Sunshine was made on March 4, it went through the Amplify Austin Disaster Relief Fund and the donation was matched.

Ninety-five gardeners included the donation with their dues payment. While most gave the suggested amount of $35, many gave more, and two gardeners gave $100 each. Some indicated they had given in other ways, and that is appreciated too.

The donations allow SCG to give back to the community and participate in Amplify Austin. Many thanks to all who contributed.
