Poppies for 2020

Ila is leaving a container of poppy seeds (2019 vintage) in the office for anyone who wants to take some. (Please don't take the whole container). She will also have some envelopes and other containers there.

Now is the time to plant them (or in Oct). Mix the seeds with sand or compost and broadcast them on exposed soil. They won't grow if they land on grass.

2019 Annual Membership Meeting with Breakfast Tacos

Saturday May 18 @ 9:00 am

There will be breakfast tacos provided from TacoDeli and popsicles from Mom and Pops

The 9:00am all-member meeting will include the following:

• Introduction by Marilyn Landberg, outgoing president
• Janet speaking about this year's plant sale and presenting a $5000.00 donation check to Gloria Bennett of the All Blind Children of Texas organization
• Kay McMurry presenting a plot report
• Carol Limaye, treasurer, presenting a financial report
• Jeff Taylor discussing rat abatement
• Marilyn Landberg will ask for vote on a by-law amendment already publicized in the Weeder whereby the service terms for the board positions of treasurer and secretary would be expanded due to the expertise and training required to perform the duties of both positions (accounting, spreadsheet expertise, database maintenance and management, etc.)
• Presentation of bios for 3 open positions on board (president, vice-president, and treasurer)
• Voting
• Request for volunteers for the 2020 nominating committee
