A message from our new President.
Sunshine Community Garden is a very special place - an oasis in the center of Austin where several hundred gardeners grow their own organic vegetables, exchange gardening knowledge, and find peace and community. We all have something in common - a joy of digging in the soil, harvesting and sharing the fruits of our labor.
I look forward to being president of Sunshine Community Garden and invite you to talk with any board members about your ideas for enhancing the gardening experience.

Come Check out the Best Tasting Tomato This Season!
June 8-about 9am
Come taste the different varieties and vote. An informal tomato discussion will be held, lead by Randy Thompson. After the discussion, there will be a tomato tour in the garden. Tomato Tasting and More!
Come on out! There will be music and prizes!
We are also expecting a surprise guest!
Kinky Friedman the singer, author, novelist, humorist, politician and former columnist for Texas Monthly plans on coming.
What Makes Heirloom Plants so Great?
Find out on June 10 from Judy Barrett, who literally wrote the book on heirlooms! Zilker Botanical Garden Center, 2220 Barton Springs Rd., Doors open at 6:30 p.m. For additional information, visit www.austinorganicgardeners.org.
Visitors are welcome at the garden but the cement building to the west of the garden by the tool shed is not open to the public. It does not belong to Sunshine but to TSBVI. Please keep out.
