Rabbits in the Garden

If anyone notices rabbit activity around their plots please let Stewart Nichols know at sgwater@math.austin.tx.us. You need to give him your plot number which you can find on the website under member info or at Plot Map of Sunshine Community Garden

Are You the Last One Out?

Could all gardeners be aware that the last one out of the garden in the evening (Don't forget to check that everyone else is out) is the one to lock the toolshed and the gate behind them.

Lets talk trash .... about the dumpster.

The dumpster is not available for:

Plastic pots in good condition (we use them for the plant sale)
Plants from your garden (because you don't want to walk to the compost pile)
Your trash from home
Old furniture
Food scraps

The dumpster IS for:

Broken/damaged pots
Weeds with seeds or diseased plants
Trash from the trailer and toolshed
Boxes, other items (broken down)

Sometimes branches/logs if there is room, for they take too long to break down

Reusable items, i.e. cages, stakes, trellis, may be placed by the tool shed for use by other gardeners. Feel free to take them.

Workday, June 22

Calling all SCG gardeners to join us for the last official workday for the spring/summer gardening season, Saturday, June 22. Meet at the garden trailer for a breakfast potluck at 8:30 am. Work begins at 9 am.
