Time to Ponder the Garden for Fall
Now the summer heat is here it's time to think about the fall garden. In the coming month prepare the soil for fall planting by adding compost and fertilizer. Start plants in a shady place and carefully transplant. Young plants have a hard time in hot sun so they need extra care. Cover bare soil with mulch to help conserve moisture and regulate temperature.
Tasks of the Week
Remove the Johnson Grass coming through the north fence line (49th street) and mow and weed in the compost area.
