Free Compost
There is compost left over from SFC's Spread the Harvest Resource Giveaway Day last week, located at the Baha'i Faith center (2215 E.M. Franklin Ave. Austin, TX 78723). They would like for it to be removed soon, so please take advantage! It is Organics by Gosh triple power compost - great for food gardens! The compost pile is located next to the parking lot behind the building, and it is possible to pull up a car and load up. Bring a shovel and bags.
Brite Ideas - SCG Member Discount
Brite Ideas is a locally owned store with two locations in Austin. They have an abundant inventory of organic soil amendments and a knowledgeable staff to provide you with all your gardening needs and answer questions. In addition, they offer Sunshine Gardeners a member discount on their purchases.
To obtain a discount simply present your Sunshine membership card upon purchase. Cards are available in the office on the bookshelf.

Ila has Planted Carrots!
Ila Falvey says: "The orange tape is NOT a Halloween decoration but marks where carrots have been planted for kids to pick at our plant sale in March. Please stay out of the carrot patch."
