March 2019 Plant Sale - Our Annual Fundraiser
Planning for our only fundraiser, the Plant Sale, goes on all year. It's time to get involved. The plant sale is March 2, 2019, the first Saturday in March. We need lots of people working together to make it a success. We also need nice weather that day if any of you can arrange that.
Janet and Randy are this year's organizers of the plant sale. Randy has ordered the seeds and most have arrived. We deliver those to Gabriel Valley in Georgetown in a few days. They will grow our selected tomatoes and peppers and deliver the plants right before the sale.
Jen is organizing the planting and care of the herbs we sell. She has people seeding and watering starting this Saturday.
Mary is in charge of the silent auction. She will be soliciting, picking up and organizing for the day of the sale.
We have arranged tent rental, portable toilet rental, and vendors.
We have two major things that need to be done now and until the sale:
- We need help with publicity. Any of you participating in social media can do your part and mention us. Link to our website/Facebook page. And if you are willing, take charge of this effort. We go for as much free mention as we can get.
- We need a new design for posters/postcards. If you are willing and able, suggest a design for this. I can provide the information that needs to be included on the design.
Help now if you can. And definitely plan on helping those last several days.

If you have not completed your volunteer hours, you have one more weekend before midnight on 12/31/18. Don't forget to record your volunteer hours in the Green Binder.
