HAPPY NEW YEAR!

The Spring Plant Sale will be here in less than 2 months, and we need volunteers this Saturday morning.

Come out and help transplant herb seedlings from flats to 4" pots so these seedlings can grow and be ready for sale at the Plant Sale. It's an opportunity to get an early start on your Spring 2013 service hours.

When: Saturday, January 12, 9 am - 1 pm
Where: hoop house / green house area
Who: Michael Hall and Jeff Schulz will be coordinating the efforts.

Also, we may still need volunteers to help look after and water the herbs for the next two months. Check with Michael Hall if you would be interested in volunteering.

SUNSHINE GARDEN WORKDAY - SUNDAY afternoon, January 27

The next Workday is scheduled for Sunday, January 27th, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm.
Emily Tsinger will be leading the workday.

ALL GARDENERS MEETING - February 23

The next All Gardeners Meeting will be held on Saturday, February 23rd at 10:00 at the garden trailer. This meeting will be one week before the Spring Plant Sale, and a Workday is scheduled after the meeting from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.

In the last Weekly Weeder, in the write-up about the Micah 6 Food Drive. Susan Hoberman was not mentioned as being the co-coordinater of the Micah 6 Garden together with Linda Franciscone. Apologies for this unintended oversight, and to
From Linda: Susan and I together choose what to plant, prepare the garden beds, plant seeds, harvest plants, and maintain and water the Garden all season long. Susan is an amazing gardener who has been at Sunshine Gardens for decades, and has a wealth of knowledge gained over those years. She has taught me most of what I know about vegetable gardening, and has one of the most beautiful and productive gardens at Sunshine.
