Corbaci Peppers

These cute and curly peppers were grown by Randy Thompson and Janet Adams. Are you growing any unfamiliar vegetables or flowers. 2020 Sunshine Elections

It is time to begin planning for elections for new board members scheduled for replacement this year. Elections will be held for secretary and 3 director positions. If you are interested in running for any of these positions or have any questions please email Polly Porter (pporter_scg@austin.rr.com) and Janet Adams (jartdaht@gmail.com). Donating to Micah 6 Food Pantry

Donations to Micah 6 Food Pantry should be made on Saturday Mornings by 9:00 AM, not Thursday as stated in the Food Donation Section written by the Sunshine Board. Last week's article about Micah 6 donation bears repeating in this time of food insecurity in our community.

Dana Kuykendall reports:

The Micah 6 Food pantry is currently distributing 200 25-30 lbs boxes weekly to those that visit the food pantry. Three types of boxes are offered: (1) fresh fruits and vegetables, frozen meats, bread, (2) entirely shelf stable goods, and (3) entirely shelf stable goods that need no preparation. If you would like to support this work, Micah 6 specifically requests Spam or pop up tuna can donations - canned, shelf stable protein is highly needed.

Our Sunshine Gardeners have been wonderful in donating fresh vegetables from their own plot. If you would like to donate canned goods, we could add this to our fresh delivery on Saturday morning. You could leave them on the porch trailer and then they could be taken inside when other items are moved in the trailer.
