Faces of Sunshine

This has been the best experience for me - I have always liked to garden. There's nothing more special than coming here three days a week and picking produce. I rarely get produce from the store, and I have a couple of neighbors near me and we share. Last year when I had roughly thirty butternut squash coming out every week, I was sharing and other neighbors were sharing and everybody is really nice. I can bring my dog Pepper here in the cooler weather and we can hang out together so I love that.

Gardening tip from Elena:

Get your seeds through Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds because they are the best! Even as a novice gardener everything I have grown is amazing. I feel that the garden fairies are sparkling and looking upon us because I have had really good crops.

Reminder: Please Check the Front Gate Lock

I have been finding it open and dialed to the combination most days that I get to the garden. Please remind people that if they unlock the gate, that they should lock the lock back onto the gate and dial it off the combination. If they arrive later and find it unlocked and hanging from the gate, they should lock it onto the gate. Too many times, someone has walked off with the unlocked lock. If it's left on the combination, then the thief now has a functioning lock and also knows our combination. Our safety is compromised when the lock is not shut.
