Fall Service Hours Deadline Nears; Workdays Scheduled
December 31 is last date to complete fall season service hours - both TSBVI and regular. Don't forget to record your hours in the Virtual Green Binder on Sunshine website. An unrecorded hour is an unworked hour. Unworked hours will be billed: TSBVI: $50/hr. First Two Regular: $30/hr.; Subsequent Regular: $10/hr. Gardeners can also use the Green Binder to see how many hours they need to complete. To help gardeners complete their hours, workdays are scheduled for Saturday 12/14 and Saturday 12/28. Watch future Weeders and your email for additional information about the workdays and tasks needed to be done.
Let the Sunshine In - Upcoming Classes at Sunshine
"Fantastic Fungi"
Monday Evening December 9, 2019
6:30 - 9 pm
Austin Film Society Theater
6406 N I-35 Suite 3100 Austin, TX 78752
Watch: Fantastic Fungi Screenings & Trailer
There will a short talk and Q&A before the screening.
Whether or not you have attended the SCG education on the soil-food-web (No-Till or Low-Till Vegetable Gardening) you will find the facts about mushrooms, and the other fungi that underpin all of nature, fascinating and amazing.
Fungi can serve us on a small scale as gardeners and, on a large scale, as our partners in world ecology. Come open your mind and expand your knowledge of these powerful allies for the health of people, garden plots and planets.
Each person will pay for their own movie ticket and refreshments but AFS will give us a discount on ticket prices if our group is large enough. Email your RSVP. We need an accurate headcount to negotiate a discount and also to send each attendee the finalized details of the event.
Use this link to purchase and enter your number of tickets where is says Sunshine.
To receive accurate updates on event detail as they evolve, please also rsvp via an email to: scg_education_team@yahoo.com
